Google Search appears to be testing a brand new “trending matters” part for some information queries in Google Search on cell. This Trending Subjects part allows you to toggle and refine your question by matters, comparable to climate, crime, sports activities, politics, or different trending information classes for that question.
This was noticed by Saad AK on Twitter who shared a video of this in motion, here’s a display seize adopted by the video:

I noticed a “Trending Subjects” part in Information Tab with a filter navigation; which included a number of entities associated to the search question.

I personally can’t replicate this but, nevertheless it does make sense as a further question refinement possibility and will be helpful to searchers.
