This week’s podcast is a dialog with Douglas McKelvey — a screenwriter, songwriter, and writer of a number of books together with Each Second Holy — a guide of prayers for day by day life. On this episode I share how Each Second Holy and the prayers in it have impacted me and I get to ask him the questions I’ve all the time puzzled. Doug shares the story behind why he wrote this guide of prayers, how he determined which matters to deal with, and the place he discovered the inspiration.
I really like how he challenges us to make prayer such a spine of our day by day life — and that there isn’t a job that’s too menial that we will’t bathe in prayer.
Actually, one of many components of Each Second Holy that I really like a lot is that there are prayers for therefore many seemingly mundane facets of life, equivalent to washing home windows, house repairs, morning espresso, and sick days to call just a few! We shut the episode with Doug sharing the attractive prayer he wrote for the beginning of your day.
